 COMPANY HISTORY

North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc. is a Sub-chapter S – Corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Ohio on March 6, 1996.  Calvin E. Roeder purchased 8.4 acres adjacent to his existing trucking company in order to build a 14,000 sq. ft.  building that houses a state of the art welding and fabricating center.  It was his desire to build a facility that could repair and/or rebuild the numerous tank trailers in his trucking company fleet.  Additionally, other bulk liquid chemical transporters similar to the Roeder Cartage Co., Inc. were contacted and the services of North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc. were marketed to outside customers as well.  Kimberly (Roeder) Patterson began working for her father in 1997 and continues today as part-owner of North Dixie along with her 3 younger sisters.  Kim’s husband, Joe has worked for the company since 1999 as Lead Welder and Shop Supervisor.

Today, North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc. provides a broad range of welding services for anyone in Northwest and West Central Ohio.   We offer custom sheet metal fabrication utilizing materials made of light gauge aluminum through heavy gauge stainless steel plate.  For many successful transportation companies, North Dixie is their preferred provider for tank-trailer service and repair.   That is why North Dixie remains committed to providing products and services that continually surpass customer expectations.  We employ one of the most highly qualified service and repair staffs in our industry in order to provide virtually any service, repair, or testing required for tank-trailers.  This company is certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel and may perform welding repair operations on pressure vessels according to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers codes.  The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors certify that North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc. are authorized to use the “R” symbol in accordance with the provision of the National Board.  Kimberly Patterson has been instrumental in writing the Quality Control Manual and has been designated as Quality Control Manager for North Dixie Truck and Trailer Inc.
